Robot Snacks Privacy Policy
We're a small company selling a digital product. We collect the minimum information we need to take your order, deliver the product, answer your questions, and keep the site running. We don't sell your data, we don't run advertising on the site, and we don't share your information except with the small set of service providers we use to operate the business. The full policy below covers the specifics.
1. Who we are
Cardsetter, Inc. operates robotsnacks.io and sells the Robot Snacks Website Snack Pack. We are based in the United States. Our mailing address and contact information are at the bottom of this policy.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you purchase the Snack Pack, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your name, email address, billing address, and payment details. We do not store your full payment card number on our systems; Stripe handles that.
When you use the support form at robotsnacks.io/support, you provide your name, email address, an optional topic, and your message.
When you email us directly, we receive whatever information you choose to include in your email (name, email address, message contents, attachments).
Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, our hosting provider records standard web server data: your IP address, the pages you visited, the time of the visit, the referring URL, and information about your browser and device (user agent string). This is the same data every web server logs. We use it to operate and secure the site.
We do not currently run web analytics, advertising pixels, behavior trackers, or session replay tools on robotsnacks.io.
Cookies
The site itself does not set tracking cookies. Some third-party services we load on the page (fonts, icons, the Netlify forms endpoint) may set their own technical cookies as part of normal operation. We do not use cookies to track you across sites or to build a profile of your behavior.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Process your order and deliver the Snack Pack;
- Send order receipts, download links, and any transactional emails related to your purchase;
- Respond to support requests and emails;
- Keep the site running, debug problems, and protect against abuse;
- Comply with legal obligations (such as tax and accounting recordkeeping).
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, behavioral targeting, or sale to third parties.
4. Who we share your information with
We share information only with the service providers we need to operate the business, and only the minimum each one needs to do its job. The categories of providers we use include:
- Hosting: Netlify (hosts robotsnacks.io and processes web traffic and form submissions);
- Payment processing: Stripe (processes your purchase and handles your payment details directly under its own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy);
- Email: the email service we use to send transactional emails (receipts, download links, support replies);
- Accounting and tax: standard tools we use to keep our books and file taxes.
Each of these providers operates under its own privacy and security obligations. We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with anyone for their own marketing or advertising purposes.
We may also disclose information if we are required to do so by law, court order, or valid legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, our customers, or the public.
If our business is ever sold, merged, or reorganized, customer information may transfer to the new owner as part of that transaction. We would give you notice before your information became subject to a materially different privacy policy.
5. Your rights and choices
Regardless of where you live, you can email us at robotsnacks.io/support to:
- Ask what personal information we have about you;
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong;
- Ask us to delete information we are not legally required to keep;
- Ask us to stop using your information for a specific purpose;
- Get a copy of the information you provided to us.
If you live in California, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with specific privacy laws (such as the CCPA, CPRA, or GDPR), you may have additional rights under those laws. We will honor those rights to the extent they apply. If you make a request, please tell us which jurisdiction's law you are relying on so we can respond appropriately.
You can opt out of non-essential emails (such as product announcements, if we send any) by using the unsubscribe link in any such email. You cannot opt out of transactional emails related to your purchase as long as you have an active license.
6. Data retention
We keep purchase records, support correspondence, and accounting records for as long as we need them to operate the business and to comply with tax, accounting, and legal recordkeeping obligations. After that, we delete or anonymize them.
If you ask us to delete your information and we are not legally required to keep it, we will.
7. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we collect, including using providers that maintain industry-standard security practices. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that information transmitted to us or stored by us will be completely safe from unauthorized access. You are responsible for keeping any account credentials you receive from third-party services confidential.
8. Children's privacy
The Snack Pack is not intended for use by children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at robotsnacks.io/support and we will delete it.
9. International users
We are based in the United States, and our service providers are primarily located in the United States. If you are using the site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States. By using the site, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in a country with different privacy laws than your own.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The version currently in effect is the one posted at robotsnacks.io/privacy, with the effective date shown at the top. If we make a material change, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, give existing customers notice by email.
